Cooldown is the simplest way to track anything that has a
refractory period. The app has one job: tell you, at a glance,
how long until you can do something again.
Tap when you took it. Watch the ring fill up. Get a ping when it
hits Ready. Reset and repeat.
WHAT IT'S FOR
• PRN ("as needed") medications — ibuprofen every 6 hours,
antihistamines, the emergency inhaler
• Daily supplements and vitamins
• Caffeine pacing — coffee, tea, or that one energy drink
• Watering plants, fertilising, repotting cycles
• Sunscreen reapplication
• Hygiene routines — shaving, flossing, contact lens swaps
• Anything else with a "how long ago did I…" question
THE RING
Every cooldown is one ring. The ring fills as time passes:
• Red — you just reset, can't reset again immediately
• Amber — cooling down, getting closer
• Green — Ready, tap to start the next cycle
Same visual on the phone, the widgets, the lock screen, and the
Apple Watch. One pattern, learn it once.
WIDGETS
• Home screen Small — one cooldown, big ring, tap-to-reset on Ready
• Home screen Medium — three cooldowns side-by-side
• Lock screen — circular, rectangular, and inline complications
APPLE WATCH
A native watchOS app with the same list-and-detail interaction as
the phone. Reset from your wrist; the change syncs back to the
phone instantly. Plus four complications:
• Circular — ring + emoji
• Rectangular — name + live countdown
• Inline — single line above the watch face clock
• Corner — ring tucked into a watch-face quadrant
SIRI
"Hey Siri, Cooldown reset Coffee."
"Tell Cooldown to reset Vitamin D."
The reset runs without launching the app — quick and quiet.
ICLOUD SYNC
Every cooldown syncs across your iPhones and iPads automatically
via your private iCloud account. Nothing is uploaded anywhere
else. The Apple Watch syncs through its paired iPhone.

DESIGNED FOR "AS NEEDED"
Cooldown is built for the opposite of a fixed schedule. If you
take something at 8:00 and 20:00 every day without fail, a
scheduled-reminder app is the right tool. If you take something
only when you need it — every few hours at most — and want to
know how soon you can take it again, that's exactly what Cooldown
does.
